A shame that this has become the new “swag”. Is this how we really want black men represented as hoodlums? Is this what we want our younger children to emulate?
Swag cannot pay your bills, sweetheart.
It always seems like people take one example of a black person doing something/wearing something atrocious and all of a sudden all black people do it. Let’s ignore those with style, like Kanye. When Jay wears a suit we don’t put a picture all over the internet saying, “Look at our black men; smdh.”
Miss me with bullshit.
Look at Mos Def. Look at Andre 3000. Stop putting up photos of Wayne and lame ass Soulja Boy and generalizing all of our black men.
The fact of the matter is that only a handful of black men dress appropriately. In a room full of black men more than half of them will be dressed like this. It’s not everyday you see a ton a black men walking around in suits. I don’t see any generalizations, its stating facts. That’s how the MAJORITY of black men dress.
